 | News by Chris Turner 28 Jun 21:23 The question about form validation has come recently and I would love to here what others in the community have to say about this. I am going to throw out a few different ways that have come to mind. The example I will use will be the validation of a simple user information form (first name, last name). So the question becomes where to perform validation? Do you let the object validate itself? 28 Jun 21:16 Its my third day at cfunited and all I can say is WOW. Tera Tech has really put on a great conference this year. I have been able to sit in some great sessions on LiveCycle Data services, Flex 2, and ColdFusion 8. 21 Sep 09:55 Nic Tunney, the author of CFOOP.org has posted my article about using an object in a form. I want to say I think this site will be a great resource to CF developers who are looking for solid reference for CF objects. There are some really simple proof of concept examples and the site shows you multiple ways of working with objects. If anyone has any questions on the article or CF objects in general feel free to drop me an email at cturner914@gmail.com. 14 Sep 06:02 Today, just like alot of other days I found myself stuck on something in FlashForms that would take me 10 seconds to do in CF. Then Javi introduced me to a page that has all sorts of CF functions but done in action script, Check It Out!!. Just download the zip and look at the .as file. Next I was trying to figure out how to get dynamic text in a cfformitem tag with type=html. Now usually I would use tagId. 7 Sep 22:35 As promised I am posting my examples from last nights CAPFUG presentation on the Flex Ajax Bridge. Both examples are in one zip file which can be downloaded here. The flexAjax2 example does require that you have the 7.0.2 upgrade for the ColdFusion server. Both examples will requre that you have an HTTP server running. If anyone has any questions about the code feel free to email me at cturner@aboutweb.com. 13 Aug 12:09 Hello, ColdFusion community! This is my first blog post, ever. So I'm not really sure what ramble on about. I would like to say thanks to Nic for setting the blog up and of course Ray for writing the engine. Hogan you're the man for providing the graphic. Also, thanks to everyone who helped me get to where I am now, you all know who are, and I am truly greatful. What to expect on my blog? | | | |
