I am quickly realizing why everyone has dubbed this book a must have for all programmers. I am only into the 2nd chapter but I already found something I would like to share with you. This may seem like a no brainer to most of you but to some beginners this is a very important lesson to building a reusable & scalable system. So how and why would we avoid global data. 9 Feb 01:20 If you have ever had to do credit card processing you most likely have come across this problem in the past. Payflow Pro is a popular gateway that you may have used back in the day and was previously owned by Verisign. Times have changed and now Paypal owns the software but what we are going to discuss should work for both. 9 Feb 01:20 If you have ever had to do credit card processing you most likely have come across this problem in the past. Congratulations to Mark Drew and anyone who is made contributions to the project. Today CFEclipse version 1.3 is officially released. Still trying to convince others and myself of my programming skills. I live in downtown Cleveland with my friend Jason. 26 Jan 01:50 Well as all my predecessors have done I am going to give you some quick bullet points about myself. 28 years old My family and friends mean the world to me I have aspired to be a programmer for 8 years now but have only been programming about 6. I am on part 2 of chapter 5, good design = flexible software. There is a very important paragraph in this chapter that I would like to share with you. If you are reading along at home we are on page 246. It's easy to rip apart someone else's code, but you've got to learn to look at your own code, and identify problems. |
