This person also needs to be able to do advanced ColdFusion development, if needed. The person I'm looking for will have a lot of strong experience with enterprise development. So, if you're a senior developer who wants to work from home, please waste no time in applying. Here are some finer details of what I'm looking for: Languages My team works primarily with the Adobe toolset. 29 Sep 21:33 This is a quick blog entry to answer a question I received by email. Here's the question: I am a final year Computer Science and Engineering student. I have planned to implement and deploy a Web Service for my final year project. I couldn't find a good tutorial for creating a Web Service with ColdFusion. It would be very kind of you if you can suggest me what to do, or if you could refer me to some tutorial which is available for download. Honestly, I debated whether or not to blog this answer. 8 Sep 20:09 A disclaimer up front - I am not sure if this pattern is specific to ColdFusion, but I have never seen it in another object oriented language before. A design pattern is a template solution for how to address a common issue in object oriented development. So here is a problem. In an ideal object oriented system, you are dealing with a server that never goes down and has unlimited memory. 8 Sep 18:32 I just wanted to quickly let the world know that I will officially be including training materials on Model-Glue 3:Gesture features in my October Enterprise ColdFusion with Model-Glue training class. The class was initially written for Model-Glue 2 and the content is still relevant for Model-Glue 3. In fact, I would teach the class entirely on Model-Glue 3, but there are still a few minor features (such as scaffolding) that are not yet present in Model-Glue 3. 13 Apr 00:28 I am slowly publishing a series of blog posts relating to clustering in particular with ColdFusion and JRun. It can get fairly complicated pretty fast and I urge all who are going to embark on clustering to plan out how you want to cluster and why. Another key issue is to make sure when we are creating a web application that it designed and engineered from day one with clustering in mind. 2 Apr 22:04 This will be the first post in a series relating to clustering ColdFusion. In this first series of posts we will be looking at clustering CF at a software level using ColdFusion 8 Enterprise. Hopefully later on, we can move to a Hardware-Software set-up with examples. I mentioned in a previous post that what I will detail is drawn from my experiences from either creating clusters for clients or working on existing clusters. There are no doubt other ways to do this. 31 Mar 19:25 I have added several blog postings here before on the theories of High-Availability (HA) and Clustering. In this series of blog postings I will be attempting to create dedicated postings for the following scenarios. Please keep in mind that there will be alternative ways to do these things and what I am showing here is drawn from my experiences from either creating clusters for clients or working on existing clusters Here are the scenarios I will be posting on... 20 Mar 02:21 SitePoint recently published an article of mine about developing Rich Internet Applications with ColdFusion 8. SitePoint is a repository of tons of tech-related articles. From what I understand, they will be releasing more ColdFusion related articles in the future. What are you waitng for? Go check it out. 1 Mar 01:29 The other day, I posted a question regarding what tools developers used in managing their projects and I received quite a few responses and a lot of links to various tools. In looking through the various tools mentioned, a thought came to mind. My assumption is that most people reading this blog are technical developers, probably having at least something to do with ColdFusion. 29 Feb 23:54 Over the past month or so I've blogged a couple of times about the fact that Alagad is hiring a Senior Sales person. Why? Well, obviously, we need to generate business to keep our highly skilled developers busy. This has been a challenge for us over the last year. What tends to happen is that we'll spend time generating leads. We do this when we're experiencing some down time. We primarily use on the Alagad.com blog for this. |
