Inexpensive CF hosting turns into cheap one
15 November 2007 16:22 (EST)
Recently my hosing provider (HostingFuse) has decided to upgrade their hardware, what supposed to be a good move.
In reality this turns into hellwith unprofessional database transfer (InnoDB tables were out of sync, so two websites were down for about 24 hours), inadequate support (9-5 helpdesk instead of advertised 24x7), and data loss in the end (incorrect charset for number of tables after the sync, delayed fix and backup restore overwriting most recent data).
In addition these guys were constantly blocking Googlebot without any notification by the reason of high load of CF server during indexing (this have happened before).
So, I am moving out... any good options to consider?
